Heavenly Father, thank you for your word. I thank you that you've made it a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. I thank you that you sent your word and healed us and delivered us from all our destructions. I pray for our paths to be like the light of the dawn that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day, in Jesus' name. Hallelujah!
"The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light." (Romans 13:12)
In the Romans 13 broadcast, Anna shows how Romans 13 fits with Acts 4:19-20 (obeying God rather than men), why we need the Holy Spirit to know which verse applies when, and how love fulfills the law (Romans 13:8-10). She closes with Proverbs 3 and Psalm 1 on trusting the Lord and being planted by streams of water. What is one "deed of darkness" you can lay aside this week as you put on the Lord Jesus Christ?
